Downstairs Dublin Celebrates Irish Architecture
Posted 27/08/2015
Following on from last years success, with more than 8000 visitors, Downstairs Dublin will be returning on September 18th for Culture Night. The theme this year will celebrate architecture, property and design with sets and installations commissioned in basements throughout Dublin's classic Georgian Square, the perfect performance backdrop for some of Ireland's most exciting artists and musicians.
The Irish Times' Downstairs Dublin event will be held very appropriately at the home of the Irish Architectural Archive at 24 Merrion Square. Some of the paper's best-known journalists including Fintan O’Toole, Kathy Sheridan, Una Mullally, Conor Pope, Patrick Freyne and Catherine Cleary will be armchair interviewing guests in a specially created outdoor sitting room.
